To start with, I am Stephania (nickname Stef). I'm very happy to see that you have chosen to visit this page and learn some about me.

I am from Louisiana, we moved to New Jersey for a couple of years, but we are now back home close to our family. (=

I have three children, Corey age 14, Steven age 12, and JT age 4. We live in our own home in a wonderful part of town. Right outside of city limits, but close enough to get where we need to go quickly. Sometimes I miss living out in the middle of nowhere, but I love it where we are. It's a great place to raise the kids.

It's been well over a year since my last update, and I give many apologies for that. I had some PC issues, and had to get a new harddrive, I had my website saved on an external, but not my passwords. And then comcast quit forwarding roadrunner's emails without warning, so I wasn't able to get my passwords, and had given up. I looked at some files on my external and suddenly remembered what the password was, and here I am! *S*

We are in year two of life with a teenager, and it's now starting to get interesting. Not only with him, but his pre-teen brother who is going through all that normal stuff at the normal time.... *sigh* Two at one time, I swear they should have been twins! LOL I will give you updates on them on their pages. *S*

It has been three years now since my surgery! For those that don't know, I'll include the information below. I still get nervous when I go to my yearly exams, scared that it's back and worse. Now, the story:
In 2005, I went for my annual doctor's visit, and on my birthday they called me with the results. I had what looked like CIN I (mild dysplasia). I went in and had a colpopscopy done, and it came back CIN II (moderate dysplasia). It's not cancer, but if left untreated, can turn into cancer. So, I went and had the surgery done, LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure), it's not a true surgery, they call it one though because they put me to sleep. I was in pain for several days afterwards while my cervix healed. It was difficult to pick up my 13 month old, but it had to be done sometimes. I have a wonderful husband and neighbor. My cousin Jeannie was with me and Juan when I had the procedure done, and she came home with me to help out as well. She is truly an angel. (=

My aunt has helped me a lot in the past few years. She has really stepped in and become a mom to me, in place of a dysfunctional family, that would do anything to get what they want, I now have a very loving, united, and strong family. I call her mom, because that is what she is to me. Her daughter, my cousin, is the sister I should have had. She is so wonderful, very supportive, and not afraid to tell me when I'm wrong. lol But we can get into a disagreement, and then talk the next day, and we are fine, like nothing was ever wrong. This is family. It's what it's supposed to be like, I just wish I would have had it all along. I never knew what I was missing out on until these wonderful people found me again. (=

Online life:
I spend a lot of time online, doing many things that I love. I left alot of my goings on online, I'm no longer teaching or running the tag war groups. I'm actually trying to get in touch with the founders of SGM to get the site going again. Wish me luck with that. Things were so hectic for me online, my family started slipping to the side. I took a step back and realized, that's not what I want. So, I up and left a lot of places. I do miss my students that I had, as you form a type of bond with them when the classes last so long, but, I am enjoying reconnecting with my family.

Where I'm from:
I live in the south! I'm a Louisianian, born and raised here. I've lived in New Jersey as well, but have spent most of my life here. Let me tell you, the north isn't anything like the south. *L* It's like two completely different worlds, and I have to say, I like my south, though I do miss the cold winters and snow. It is very rare that we have snow here in Louisiana. It's usually ice, which I don't like, I miss the snow.

Misc. Stuff:
I am also an abuse survivor. I am very proud of the fact that I survived and can speak out to other women about it, and feel I have no reason to hide because of it. I feel that I need to speak out about it, because it may just save someone's life to know that they aren't alone in their battle. Even survivors battle it every day. We may not live with the abusers anymore, but we still hold the memories! Please be sure to visit my Abuse to Love page to learn more about my battles!

I have lost family members to cancer, and other deadly diseases/heart problems. If you are needing to find some urls/info on different types, be sure to visit my resource page!!

Well, now that you know some more about me, please enjoy the rest of my site!
